A Note from Day1 Host Peter Wallace

It's been my joy and honor to lead the Day1 ministry for over 21 years. I can assure you it's been an interesting journey so far, and now I am looking ahead to retirement in August 2023.

In light of that upcoming transition, our trustees have graciously granted me a sabbatical for the month of November, and I'm deeply grateful. We've arranged our recording sessions ahead of time, and made plans to ensure that the essential content of our Day1.org website continues, along with weekly email newsletters and some social media posts.

However, we won't be uploading articles to our website or offering other social media posts. So I want to encourage you to visit the websites of our regular bloggers to keep up to date with their wonderful content while I'm away:

Science for the Church blog

Church Anew blog

Walter Brueggemann's Church Anew column

Susan Sparks

Margaret Marcuson's Spiritual Leadership blog

Meanwhile, the chair of our Board of Trustees has formed a Succession Committee to plan for new leadership for Day1 and the Alliance for Christian Media, so please keep that work in your prayers. The year ahead looks to be an exciting and growing time for the Day1 ministry--and we hope to make some major announcements soon.

I pray that you continue to enjoy and benefit from our Day1 radio program and podcast, as well as the resources we offer on our website.. As we move into a critical time for our ministry at year-end, I hope you will consider making a generous tax-deductible donation to Day1 so that we can start the new year with a strong financial foundation.

From all of us at Day1, thank you for being part of our family, and we look forward to serving you for many years to come.

All the best,
Peter
