"It's not about the medals, it's not about the thank yous.....but it's nice to be remembered....."

Here at RAF Biggin Hill Museum & Chapel, we tell the story of Britain’s most famous fighter station through the personal experiences of those who served there, and the community that supported them.

The museum is situated on the same site as St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance, built in 1951 to preserve the legacy of those who served and died at Biggin Hill during the Second World War. The museum safeguards the future of this important building.

Testimonials

Thank you so much for organising the candle making event on Saturday, my friend and I both had such a fantastic time. The staff were so helpful, accommodating and friendly and the afternoon tea was truly delicious. We really enjoy the craft events that you hold, do you think there maybe any more in the future? We loved the ceramic poppy making. I was thinking a jewellery making one would be lovely. It's wonderful that you offer these fantastic events, thank you. I'm looking forward to bringing the kids along to the easter activities. Mrs Simpson
Unfortunately I was unable to go on our group visit to the Museum on Saturday 2nd April. However I have had really positive feedback about the visit. They all found it very interesting. In particular Dave the tour guide, came in for particular praise on making the tour enjoyable. The actress dressed in 40s clothing was an added bonus. I understand 11 stayed for lunch in the cafe and all enjoyed a "generous lunch". Lots of praise so thank you for organising this visit for us. Group Visit 2nd April 2022- Heather F
I just wanted to thank RAF Biggin Hill Museum & Chapel and all its lovely dedicated staff for a great afternoon yesterday. The Out and About Club members had a thoroughly good time and felt it was money well spent. A couple of them I will try and bring back on another occasion because I think they would like more time to browse. Your chef worked really hard serving all of us teas, coffees and cakes until we left at 5pm. We are very grateful to you for your hospitality and thank you for all that you do to keep Biggin Hill "alive"!!! Group Visit 30th March 2022 - Heather H
We have had a brilliant day, we spent hours going around the museum and exploring all of the amazing family activities, the museum provided so much more than we expected. We left with three very happy children, especially when they found the missing goat..... Mum Of 3
